SHADES OF EMOTION

Colors play an important and prominent role in our daily lives. They are one of the first things we are taught as children, and they become emotionally charged based on our memories. Shades of Emotion is a project studying the relationship between color and emotion. I created six monochromatic portraits in three colors: red, orange, and yellow. You will find two emotions represented within each color gallery. My project attempts to understand the similarities and differences in people’s emotional responses in order to convey contrasting perspectives and the significance of color.
